As a designer, it’s sometimes necessary to create sites quickly when budgets and timelines require the team to move quickly. Oftentimes, if the budget is an issue, I start with a well-organized template in order to fast-track the design process.
After years of collaborating on responsive sites, one key aspect of my workflow is the fact that I always start designing within a bootstrap grid structure and utilize vertical rhythm within my Photoshop PSD file (or Sketch file) to make everything pixel perfect.
For this project, the template was designed utilizing a heavy focus on beautiful imagery to paint a strong brand visual identity. Because we had a head start with using my template, the timeline was shortened significantly.

Once launched, a refreshed and improved website using a tried and true template as the foundation will further improve the user experience, as well as increase search engine optimization and content marketing efforts.
